The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority, supported by the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan program, officially opened the 2025 COCONUTPhilippines Trade Fair at Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall. The event gathered different exhibitors coming from different parts of the country to showcase one of the country’s proudest industries. DTI and PCA hope to entice more Filipinos to support our country’s coconut industry by visiting some of its best products yet. This trade fair runs from August 28 to September 2, 2025 and is everyone’s chance to see the country’s best offerings in person!
Now in its second year, the fair has grown tremendously compared to its inaugural run in 2024. From a modest beginning, it has expanded into a national showcase with 220 exhibitors representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The trade fair gathers farmer beneficiaries, micro, small, and medium enterprises, and innovators who are presenting everything from food and beverages to skincare, wellness, and lifestyle creations. The expansion reflects the growing momentum of the coconut industry and the increasing demand for value-added products in the Philippines.
The trade fair also serves as the official launch of COCONUT NATION, a broader campaign that will continue into 2026 with more initiatives to strengthen and modernize the industry. The aim is not only to sustain the coconut as a top global export but also to make it a product embraced by Filipino families at home.
Visitors are encouraged to come and see the wide variety of coconut and coconut-based products, meet local entrepreneurs, and support MSMEs and farming communities. By joining the fair, guests take part in a nationwide effort to create opportunities for coconut producers while discovering new and innovative ways the coconut can be enjoyed.
“This fair shows that our coconut industry is more than raw materials. It is about proudly made finished products that compete in international markets and that should have a stronger place in the daily lives of Filipinos,” said DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque.
Philippine Coconut Authority Administrator Dr. Dexter R. Buted focused on the agricultural foundation of the industry. “The strength of the coconut sector begins in the fields with our farmers,” he said. “Every product you see here carries the work and dedication of our farming communities, and this trade fair is a meaningful way to give them recognition and support.”
