As cyber-attacks increasingly pose significant risks to organizations and individuals alike, the need for strong cybersecurity measures has never been more urgent. This critical issue was the focus of the Viettel Cyber Security (VCS) launching event held on July 18, 2024, at the Palawan Ballroom of Edsa Shangri-la Hotel.

The event, titled “Philippines Cyberthreat Landscape: How Secure Are You? Discover Viettel’s Advanced Cyber Security Solutions,” was organized by Banbros Commercial Inc. (BCI) in collaboration with VCS. Attended by a diverse group of partners, primarily system integrators, the event aimed to discuss the current cyber threat landscape in the country and showcase VCS’s comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.

One of the keynote speakers, Mr. Nam Nguyen, Director of Global Business & Partnership at Viettel Cyber Security, provided a detailed overview of the Philippine Threat Landscape for the first half of 2024. He highlighted prevalent issues such as malware and data breaches, emphasizing the growing importance of cybersecurity. Mr. Nguyen illustrated how to address these challenges.

Following Mr. Nguyen, Mr. Ian Palattao, Regional Sales Director for the Philippines at Viettel Cyber Security, took the stage to provide an in-depth look at VCS’s background, awards, and certifications. He also gave a detailed discussion on VCS’s product portfolio, reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing top-tier cybersecurity solutions. Mr. Palattao introduced cutting-edge solutions designed to empower organizations’ cyber defenses, including:

  • Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing: Identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.

A lively panel discussion followed, featuring Mr. Nam Nguyen, Mr. Ian Palattao, Ms. Jaimelyn Vista, BCI Sales Manager, and Mr. Ryan Trinidad, BCI Product Manager. The panelists engaged the audience in a dynamic conversation about the cybersecurity challenges faced by organizations and how VCS’s solutions can help mitigate these risks.

The event also featured the introduction of BCI’s sales team for Viettel Security Products. Ms. Vista and Mr. Trinidad announced an exciting Partner Incentive Program, including a trip to Japan as a travel incentive for top-performing partners.
